It is essential that you fill out all the requested information to avoid processing delays. Please label each sample individually and carefully to make sure our team can discriminate each sample.

*We strongly recommend using fluorometric-based methods for accurate quantification. If a Nanodrop reading is used, we suggest you plan to submit double or triple amount of starting materials as concentrations measured by Nanodrop are generally 2 to 3 times higher than the actual concentration. Please specify the method used to determine concentration on your sample submission form.

Samples should be shipped to our facility via FedEx or other overnight carrier. DNA samples may be on blue ice packs and RNA samples should be on dry ice. Please ensure sufficient coolant is provided for the duration of shipping. Shipments are accepted Monday through Friday, except US holidays. Quote number should be noted on the shipping label.

Upon receipt, submitted samples will be analyzed by appropriate quality control. Customers will be notified if there are any issues regarding quality and quantity of the sample. Samples that pass quality control step will proceed to sequencing library preparation using the appropriate sample prep kit.

Important notes regarding to the sample preparation

Genomic DNA:

  • Genomic DNA should be provided as high molecular weight DNA. Any sample exposed to phenol or other organic solvents should be run through a cleanup column prior to submission.
  • Genomic DNA isolated from FFPE adds an inherent layer of complexity. DNA should have an average size greater than 250 bp. Uniform coverage cannot be guaranteed with FFPE samples.
  • DNA samples should be treated with RNase
  • Please provide copies of any available pre-shipment quality control data

PCR amplicons:

  • PCR amplicons should be gel purified prior to submission.
  • The optimal size range should be between 150 and 300 bp.
  • Please provide copies of any available pre-shipment quality control data

ChIP DNA or IP’ed RNA:

  • Users will need to carefully plan the choice of antibodies, cell numbers and controls when they plan the experiment.
  • Biological replicates are strongly encouraged.
  • The optimal size range should be between 150 and 300 bp.
  • Please provide copies of any available pre-shipment quality control data.

RNA:

  • RNA should exposed to phenol or other organic solvents should be run through a cleanup column prior to submission.
  • If smRNA is to be sequenced, ensure that your isolation method does not exclude low molecular weight RNA.
  • RNA samples should be treated with DNase.
  • Please provide copies of any available pre-shipment quality control data.

FFPE:

  • 1 Block or 5 slides of 10micron thickness

Liquid Biopsies:

  • 2-3ml Plasma sent with ice cold gel packs for overnight shipment or frozen with sufficient dry ice.
